What is the ISBA Business Directory?

ISBA's online business directory provides the contact details of suppliers and professional advisers to independent schools across the country and is frequently visited by bursars and senior management professionals in ISBA member schools. The directory is also open to the general public.

What an ISBA Business Directory listing offers

  • Your company details included in the directory, promoted regularly to our members, to the end of 2021.
  • A central platform to engage with procurement decision makers in over 1,000 ISBA member schools putting your business in front of 5000+ school staff.
  • A chance to demonstrate your commitment to quality service to independent schools through the sector's largest association.
  • An opportunity to showcase your company’s products and services with enhanced brand visibility options.
  • The ability to highlight special offers and discounts specifically for ISBA members.
  • Use of the ISBA Directory Partner kitemark (at Platinum entry level only).

The cost

The cost for entry in the directory starts from £425 + VAT for 2021. Pricing is dependent on the package chosen. Charges for joining part way through the year will be calculated pro-rata.

A 10% discount on the Directory cost will be offered to companies who have also purchased advertising space in the Bursar’s Review magazine.

Entry in the directory (at various levels) is included in the cost of ISBA Conference exhibition and sponsorship packages.

Platinum Entry - £750 + VAT

  • Entry in the ISBA Business Directory in your chosen business category together with the option to also be listed in two other business categories in the directory
  • Priority listing in your business category – Platinum companies will appear at the top of the category listing (in alpha order)
  • Company contact details and the option to add two other associated companies to your directory entry
  • Company logo
  • 150-word company profile
  • Annual subscription to the Bursar’s Review magazine (worth £19.99)
  • Ability to upload supporting documents such as case studies, company testimonials, brochures etc.
  • Access to the Directory portal to amend your details
  • Opportunity to attend ISBA events (additional charge applies)
  • Use of the ISBA Directory Partner kitemark

Premium Entry - £575 + VAT

  • Entry in the ISBA Business Directory in your chosen business category together with the option to also be listed in another business category in the directory
  • Priority listing in your business category – Premium companies will appear directly below Platinum companies in the category listing (in alpha order)
  • Company contact details and the option to add another associated company to your directory entry
  • Company logo
  • 100-word company profile
  • Annual subscription to the Bursar's Review magazine (worth £19.99)
  • Ability to upload supporting documents such as case studies, company testimonials, brochures etc.
  • Access to the Directory portal to amend your details

Essential Entry - £425 + VAT

  • Company contact details with click through to your company website in your chosen business category
  • Company logo
  • 75-word company profile
  • Annual subscription to the Bursar’s Review magazine (worth £19.99)

How to secure your entry in the ISBA Business Directory

  1. Complete the application form which can be downloaded here.
  2. Submit the names and contact details for two business references (preferably schools you have worked with).
  3. Send application form and reference details to office@theisba.org.uk
  4. Internal vetting by ISBA takes place.
  5. When your application is approved an invoice for your chosen level of entry will be issued.
  6. Once paid, ISBA will activate your entry in the Business Directory.

Whilst ISBA has approved the directory entries on the basis of its own due diligence any dealings with a listed supplier is at the school's own risk. ISBA assumes no responsibility or legal duty by being associated with a supplier and it is the responsibility of the school to independently research each company it wishes to engage with.
